Coffee Famille 咖啡家

This place has been on my to-visit list long ago but didn't have the chance to do so until few days back. The girls were looking for place to hang out around Kota D'sara, so I suggested a little cozy coffee place named - Coffee Famille.

Menu presented in a small booklet form

"Coffee Famille is here to provide you a feeling at HOME while having a good cup in hand. In here, you may wander about, look around, free to talk, chat non-stop, just like at home. "

Coffee Famille,
located at Sunsuria Avenue, Kota Damansara serves home roast fresh coffee. On the coffee bar is a La Spaziale single group espresso machine and a grinder of the same brand, the coffee Syphon and Hario V60 for making brewed coffee.

Espresso (RM6.9)
Came with nice and persistent crema

Coffee Chemistry Signature@First Subang Mall

With the growing demand of regular caffeine fixes in Klang Valley, we have more palatable coffee choices and just as many stimulating places to enjoy them: lining the sidewalks of commercial centre, spilling out into shopping mall, tucked in a quiet lane, or even nestled in a nursery.
Coffee Chemistry, the 1st cafe in Malaysia serving world's finest coffee (Graffeo) has its second outlet opened in First Subang Mall, and that's what brought us here. Differ from the first outlet in Sunway Giza, this outlet has a word 'signature' attached to Coffee Chemistry, hence Coffee Chemistry Signature.

Cozy ambiance and comfortable couches for you to spend your lazy afternoon here...
Accompanied by a steaming cuppa...

Caramel Machiato (RM9.5)

Cafe latte (RM7.9)
Coffee beans from Graffeo Roasting Co., simply the world's finest coffee.
Rich, full and never bitter.

Graffeo Coffee: You know it when you taste it. Once you have, no other coffee will do.

Fried Calamari (RM10.9)
served with nacho chips and salad with mayonnaise dipping
Well-coated with bread crumbs but tasted bland..

Ben's @ Pavillion

Ben's, one of the bright ideas by the big group
Located strategically at Pavillion Shopping Mall, making it an ideal place to dine.

Getting frustrated when it takes forever for your food to come? Don't be. Have a look at the chit-chat cards available on every table!
My fav:
What is the biggest lie you've ever told?

Oreo Smoothie (RM11.9)
Rich and creamy...but can hardly get the oreo taste

Aglio Olio Spaghettini (RM13.9)
Tossed with olive oil, garlic and dried chillies
The simplest version of aglio olio

Moroccan Lamb Pie (RM19.9)
The lamb cubes which fragrant with fresh coriander and cracked pepper, are stewed to the perfect tenderness.
Generous amount of lamb cubes and shredded carrots in a thin and flaky pie crust, making it a real perfect combination.
Highly recommended!

Fat Spoon Café @ Damansara Uptown

Fat Spoon Café located at Damansara Uptown with a concept of grandma's recipe and good coffee, is truly a hot spot for lunch. This family-run restaurant business came up with decor that evokes our childhood memories.

Cleverly using Ladybird’s children books as their menu - creative and cool

Last Polka Ice Cream is available here.
Does it remind you of old school time where the librarian write your name on the card and slot it into the pocket every time you borrow book from library?

I love the way they did the place up! Kampung-like but cooler one.

Cappuccino (RM7.9)
Soft brightness, smooth body with hints of chocolate and light bitterness

Cafe Latte (RM7.9)
All coffee are from R.A.W (Real and Wholesome) roaster.

Fat Spoon Café is serving Modern-Asian food.
From Ulam Fried Rice and Claypot Lou Shu Fun to Spicy Beef Macaroni Soup. Unfortunately we were too full to try those specialties that night and just ended up with:

Prawn Fritters (RM7.9)

Watercress Noodles Soup (RM8.9)
Served with chicken cubes, watercress and seaweed.
Mmm.. the chef is a little too stingy on the watercress.
Note: All foods served under this roof are MSG and pork free
.

Captured moments to share with diners

Love the vintage door and the big wooden spoon as door handle.

Coffee In Love Cafe @ Eastern Nursery

During the times when I'm running out of ideas and when it comes to digging the right place for an afternoon coffee break, I came across a blog introducing this completely new caffeine scene in KL.
Coffee In Love Cafe which nestled in the lush greens of Eastern Nursery, Taman Sri Hartamas is definitely a new place to hang out for coffee addict. Differ from typical cafe, it is tucked in a nursery, for you to enjoy the green scenery while having your cup of favourite coffee. Some of you might worried of having a cuppa in the hot and humid environment. Don't be as the place is completely shaded and equipped with lot of fans, so it gets kinda windy.
Cafe Latte (RM11.7)

 Cappuccino (RM10.6)

All the coffee is brewed from 100% Colombian coffee beans that are imported directly from roasters and every cup is ground fresh to ensure patrons to get the best tasting coffee
It is best coupled with their unique selection of homemade cupcakes (by karen's kitchen)

Here's the cupcakes available during my visit:
 Lemon Dive (RM4.5)

Guinness Chocolate (RM4.5)
With a hint of bitterness contributed by the dry stout and richness as well as creaminess by the chocolate, it just gets you satisfied

They will also be introducing a selection of hearty homemade sandwiches, and all day brunch menu soon.

Their mix-matched decor is pretty cool and creative

Still worried of heat and humidity?? Believe not after seeing these pictures
